György Fürst
	Founder
	A jack of all trades, György has held impressive careers in politics and diplomacy before making the switch to the private sector. An economist by profession, he moved from serving as the vice mayor of a downtown district of Budapest to founding the company that invented ad hoc mobile payments for parking — the base on which EMPIRE stands today. György loves to bring ideas to life and to build things, as this company also shows. He is partial to automobiles of the British sort and enjoys a good cigar when the mood strikes him.

	Pál Iváncsics
	Chief Technical Officer
	Our CTO, Pál, is everything you’d expect from a tech guy: mechanics aficionado, yachtsman, adventure motorcycle rider. Pal worked with the physics research institute at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences before serving as IT director at Westel Mobile, later becoming the Director for Strategic Business Development and CIO at T-Mobile Hungary. When he’s not doing indescribably complicated things on computers, you can find him smoking his pipe or sitting on the board of Impact Ventures, a fund that champions positive social impact by investing in sustainable businesses. But ordinarily, he’s in charge of everything that needs power to function at EMPIRE.

	Dr. Zsigmond Bodnár
	Chief Financial Officer
	Zsigmond is our numbers wizard. Like Pál, he comes from a background of telecommunications, and has filled a number of (very) senior finance positions at leading multinational companies in this field, such as CFO at T-Mobile or the Chief Development Officer at Hungarian Telekom. He counts an executive MBA from Purdue University and a doctorate in international Economics from Corvinus University among his academic achievements. A Francophile man partial to poetry and complex charts, he is a character of immense precision and skill.

	Szabolcs Mladoniczky
	Chief Operating Officer
	An economist by trade, Szabolcs graduated from ITCB, the Institute for Training and Consulting in Banking. He is a financial expert who relishes a challenge, whether at work or when it comes to sailing his boat. In his youth, he dabbled in the gambling business and went on into the corporate sphere as a supervisor at MOL, the Hungarian oil and gas company. He has been in the transactions business for over thirteen years and is valued at EMPIRE for his enthusiasm when it comes to our company, as well as his kind and generous spirit.

	Zsolt Mladoniczky
	Senior Advisor
	After decades spent in the transactions sector, Zsolt has in the meantime turned his attention to agriculture and can be found tending to his fields and orchards when not at the office. Like his brother Szabolcs, Zsolt lives in Gyöngyös, a beautiful township just outside of Budapest. He fills the position of senior advisor and is a multifaceted person instrumental to our success.

	Károly Szigeti
	Chief Investment Officer
	With over three decades of experience under his belt, Karoly is an invaluable asset at EMPIRE. His work in the private equity sector and wide range of experience, from startups to growth phase investments makes him a guy who can do business anywhere, from Africa to the Arctic Circle. His hands-on expertise in diverse areas of business from telecommunications to retail or logistics, Károly has managed teams large and small throughout his career. He holds a degree in economics from Corvinus University and, in his spare time, is a devoted hunter, often found in the woods with his two trained Hungarian vizslas, Lulu and Perec.

	Jelena Vuckovic
	Head of Content
	A writer by trade, Jelena has traveled the world to end up at EMPIRE, where she is responsible for the content that represents us, from our site to our social media outlets. A relatively new addition to our team, she brings valuable new perspectives to our company. An enthusiastic linguist, Jelena speaks four languages, likes reading, yoga, running, gin and music.

	Alexandra Tóth
	Office Manager
	Alexandra is the heart of our office — she is the person to ask if you’re trying to make something happen. After a life spent gathering experience around the world, she now strengthens the Empire team and is very passionate about what she does — and about architecture. When not at the office, Alexandra can be found drawing up the plans for her new house.

	Ildikó Király
	Head of IT
	Ildi, one of the most recognized people in her line of work, came to us from a long and fruitful career at K&H bank, where she was the head IT architect. Now she oversees and tends to the people of the IT department. Like a tiger mother, she is fierce, demanding, and protective.

	As system administrator, Gabor is tasked with ensuring that the day-to-day running of our payment systems goes smoothly.

	With over 20 years of experience in the payment industry, Zoltán is responsible for the implementation and the project delivery experience at EMPIRE.

	Csaba is responsible for a whole lot of things at EMPIRE, especially things that need to get somewhere safely and on time. From roadie to driver, Csaba has charted an impressive course before becoming part of our team. Endlessly reliable, punctual, and always kind, he is a joy to work with.

	A feisty legal mind of commendable expertise, Kata is also mother to three small children — and somehow still manages to always be precise, thoughtful, upbeat, and a great big help to us all.

	Smallie has never met a mouse he didn’t like — computer or field. Born in India, the IT capital of the world, he shows no interest in the trade whatsoever. It is his invaluable expertise of the hands-off sort that truly drives this company to excellence, as he would no doubt tell you.

	Vito, our erstwhile security officer, now retired, helps with the day-to-day operations of the company and functions as a therapy dog on the side. His endless patience, listening skills and astute intelligence have impacted this company in a way that is impossible to overstate.
